Well, this is rushed and it shows. I used a lot of sloppy techniques
and inks here. I did this more to have fun with the conversion than
to shoot for a stellar paint job (my Chick Challenge entry is the
opposite - not much conversion but I tried to paint her up reeeel
nice).
Things I like about this guy:
- The skin/head/neck etc. He's greener than I intended (didnt look
this green on the pallet!) but I like the blends, the pastiness, the
bloody nose
- the nurgling turned out better than I thought, cuz I rushed him
the most.
- the armor, although my highlites on the edges are too rought.
Things I dont like:
- the skin and hands are too green.
- the nurgling has a nasty moldline I could get clean without
wrecking his face and head, so I tried to hide it.
- the axe.
- the base is a bit blah.

shris 02-Dec-02 #21528 | | Rating: 7 Maybe I'm weird, but I like the head and hands better than the armor. The pale green really looks nice. The bloody nose is good too. The sculpted head is terrific, and the eyes really capture it.
The armor doesn't thrill me as much, but I'm not really into full plate the size of a city bus. I like the wrappings on the axe handle. The nurgling really doesn't do it for me for some reason. The axe blade needs a little more metal and a little less rust, I think, if that's what that brown is.
The cut ends of the hands could be a shade darker red--they look pretty fresh.
All in all, I like it. The face really grabs me. |

the axe is allright , but how he's holding the shield, it's abit strange...
and yes your right the green i too bright...
i wouldn't use green for his skin cause it doesnt fit witch the armor... | |
