I'm posting this wip pic to show that a clear and big pic can be obtain by using the method I've discused in the forums on photography. This pic is taken with only 1 lamp FYI.
Meanwhile I'll gladly accept any comments to improve what I've done so far. My thanks in advance.
Rating: - Wow thanks for the advice guys. I was stuck as to how to colour her clothes (or what's left on her) w/o clashing with the cloak. The skintone is actually lavender/ pale purple. The cam didn't pick it up nicely, making it look grey.
As for the sheen, it's due to the semi-gloss varnish that I used to prevent damage as I had to handle it alot due to it's pose.
@sam-man cloak is rotting flesh HL to almost white.
Rating: 8 This piece is right between a 7 and an 8 ... you've got a lot of nice contrast and have chosen colors that work together quite nicely.
The place that could probably use the most help is her skin. In this pic it seems pretty lifeless and too shiny ... in the back shot, it's almost impossible to see any difference between her head and the blades.
I hope you find this helpful ... it's a really nice and very clean piece. Good Job!!
Rating: 9 Cow,
the skin looks glossy, i'm guessing it's the pic. DANG!! this is one sweet mini!! i wish i could do bone like that!! She'd make a nice 40K Daemon Princes!!! Awesome!
Rating: 7 Nice work on the cape and bone, though the bone could be textured more. The NMM is also good, but the bottom scythe on the top picture looks a little off. The skin's smooth but way too blue, even for me, the master of blue colors.. And is that purple metallic or just semi gloss? There's asheen to it..
