Wren 01-Jun-06 #180597 | | Rating: 10 Wonderful! I love the pastel quality of this, and the range of subtle hues on the metal areas is very eye catching. The scene as a whole has a great sense of mood, the painting is top-notch, and the fact that you sculpted it really puts this in the highest tier. |
Bohun 02-Mar-06 #169585 | | Rating: 9 THe mini is really interesting. What I love about it is the general composition, the great pose and atmosphere. The paintjob is also nice, though mayby not your best: the armour looks really well. The colour scheme is excellent as with all of your mini. As I told you, your understanding of colours and richness of tones makes your creations so special. I prefer it hundred of times more, than all those bright colours, two-dimensional, comical blendings, which have a higher ranking than your minis. You, the Spanish Team are becoming so good! The second best team in the world for sure. I wish anything like that would exist in my country... phew...
The only thing that I don't like much is the sculpt of the face. But besides superb. 9,3
Best regards from Poland. Bohun |
petey 22-Feb-06 #168618 | | Rating: 10 Really, I echo what has already been said, this is not just great mini painting, it is like art. It has so much atmosphere and beauty, apart from the eyes, maybe if you repaint them it will be even better, they need more life. Bravo! |
julien.casses 22-Feb-06 #168517 | | Rating: 10 When i see this mini, i fall in love with the atmosphere and the colours. And secondly when i understand that it was full sculpt i was totally crazy. It is so tiny !!!
and at last, when i see it had not take a daemon, i was just totally disapointed....
but alfonso, you have a lot of daemon so it is not important... this mini is just so beautiful, come in france with her because a lot of french will want to see it in their hand, me too |
automaton 22-Feb-06 #168485 | | Rating: 10 It's a great miniature, really well sculpted, I love the pose, it looks very natural and has lots of character and 'life.' The painting is great also, I especially like the colours on the armour and her skin, beautiful blending on all parts. I like the atmosphere and 'story' of this piece, which makes it a 10. |
kowlown 21-Feb-06 #168399 | | Rating: 10 bah... sorry, forgot to rate it as a noob... |
kowlown 21-Feb-06 #168398 | | Rating: 6 I like the pastel colors of that mini.
It's also very well blended and the base is nice.
BUT > the tree looks much more like a weird woodpiece with photo-etched parts glued on it You should try to put some PVA glue on the thin "branches". Do it 3-4 times and then it becomes round and you'll able to better incorporate them in the branch.
You also painted the veins on the leaves but only on one side... the other side seems very flat imho.
Well, as you see, my only criticism was for the base and that's only a little detail . Nice job really! - Michael | |
