I really enjoyed creating the composition of this one, as the entire idea was to make the cute little cherub as far away from the base as possiable thus, the cherub was born.  I must say it was alot of fun to paint.

This is definately underrated... Love the feel of the scene... but have to agree with M.C., it still needs a little more story behind it, maybe a different base would set a better atmosphere for it... Still great work! Mike |

Very nice work ^_^ I like the overall dark feel to it, as it captures the dark gothic feel of the Inquisition IMHO. I agree that the mounting is a great idea, my only suggestion would have been to add a few more strands of varying thickness's of guitar strings, to blend in with the one that supports it. Beautimus work! |

Well, the conversion of the Cherub is really good, it looks as if the little fella has to lift all this heavy stuff up... good job...
One problem is that this particular miniature can hardly stand for itself... it has some character, but I think that this is not really enough...
As an example, a Cherub is a servant, he is usually ment to be in a squad as a... well, servant, on the side... now, you put this very mini in the centre by just picking him in a rather neutral envoirment... it would be great to see some story behind him, like where is he lifting all this stuff... in a library, a scriptorium, a Armoury... or...?... You should tell a story to give your mini a character and therefore a more interesting background...
Nonetheless, the Choice of color is good... I dislike the text, because it is done too clumsy / big / fast... (oh dear, please don´t take this one personally... ... I try to tell you what I think, and I am a hard critic......)... Maybe another font, some Highlights or just some decorational stuff would help (like fleur de lys or small decorative lines...)...
Keep painting and think about the character of a mini, I see some painting skill there (loads... ...), so just keep on and don´t stop......
