The purples on this piece are very well done (purple can be tought to paint), and unlike everyone else, i think the lightning on the sword is very striking, so kudos there. But, is it just me / the pic, or are the NMM gold and the inner robes almost too alike in color? maybe try for a darker robe next time? but, then again, it could just be me. |

Like most people said I do not like the rock on the base, it is too high and he looks akward on it. And I have never really like lighting or electricity painted on swords. The lighting never looks real and so I just avoid it. |

The purple robes are very striking (your highlights are perfect, IMO). I probably would have gone with a 40 mm base for a character model of this sort - especially given the rather large rock that he's standing on. Not a big deal, though. Good job! |

Really nice! The whole model is very well painted but I have to complaints...
1. The base. I've never been a fan of models standing on top of large rocks on thier bases. It just looks wierd. But that's a minor complaint...
2. The sword. I just looks... strange. In fact I think it lowers the impression of the whole model a great deal. It looks like a black plastic sword with lightning painted on it.
But as I said, other than the two complaints it's really nice. With a better sword you would get higher scores I think... |

Since everyone else has been so nice to this, I'm not going to repeat them in the compliments. On comes the constructive criticism... The blue tip to the plasma part of the combi weapon is a little distracting, and unbalanced. If it were the same shade as the sword I believe it would help the visual dynamics of the model. However, the main problem I have with the piece is the base on Azrael. The rock is a little too large, and it's not flat, so it appears he's tipping over. Maybe if he were on a 40mm round it would look more balanced. I'd either try for a shorter rock, or a larger base next time. |

With a little more sublety that is a 9 even.
Really nice work - especially the purple which can be a little nasty sometimes.
