This was a winning entry in GW/Specialist Games' "Fanatic Painting Scheme."
A pious member of The Order of the Keys of Cosmic Wrath, colloquially known in the Underhive as The Ghost Face Killers.
I wanted to make it clear these guys have been Crusading through the underhive for some time, hence the build up of muck on the robes. I muted reds in the robes are a result of the dim half light of the underhive environment. The metal parts were painted with mostly opaque paint with just enough metallic pigment to effect the proper metallic sheen.
This figure began armed with a shotgun. I dremeled that out replaced it with an eviscerator made from a pit slave chainsaw arm, green stuff, plasticard and rivets sliced from plastic rod.
