Here is my Avatar for my Eldar army, Iand-Exi. This was the first time I used greenstuff for more than just filling holes, I sculpted the right hand fingers, the leaf collar, some muscles on the back and the bracers going up onto each hand. Orions upper body was used instead of the original one, to give him a more savage look, two scythes from Maugan Ra's weapon were attached as "shoulder pads". The blood and lava was made with fishing wire and gloss varnish, then painted red gore+black up to blood red.
I really enjoyed this piece, and he is the center of my army so all in all very happy with the result.

Thank you for your comments and the votes  I agree, the hair does look unfinished on the picture, but in real life it's a totally different story, the grey is very visible indeed without being too much of a contrast, white is dangerous... I still don't think 6.8 is ok for this mini, but with the sniping people out there and people not voting past 50, I guess that is where he ends  IF you come by, and take a look, do vote, and be fair... My cents  I'll go pat my Avatar on the head now |

(7.5) a 5.9 score is too harsh for this piece. The lava ,blood and bone are fantastic! I would have liked to see the eyes brighter (maybe even the same as the lave, and this would have made the OSL more realistic too. Personally I woulsd have gone for a different colour on the gems and base to add a bit of contrast and variety. But I Really do like this, a great conversion too! | |
