At present, (7/16/06) this is a prerelease figure from the upcoming Wargods of Hyperborea. Not the first hotty witch sculpted by Chris Fitzpatrick.
I wanted her flesh to have a cold cast to it, but I didn't want her to look inhuman. Her bikini is a bit old school fantasy, so I dug around for some Frazetta reference for the green-golds to contrast the ice blues. Reddish hues in the hair seemed a natural choice for a third color. There are also purples and ochres in the cape and elsewhere.
This was a lot of fun to paint, but really troublesome to photograph. If I properly exposed the figure, the snow and cape would be overexposed. Whites aren't only hard to paint, they're even harder to photograph!
