This is a reposting of this photograph, but with better pictures. A friend took pity on me and adjusted the image in Photoshop. I didn't even realize exactly how bad my original picture was until I saw the new and old ones side by side. This new version is much closer to what the paint job and colours really look like. My friend also edited the picture of the complete diorama, which is displayed in another entry. The flowers held by the top figure were a test bouquet, in the final version the flowers were painting to match the main scene colours and to stand out a little more.

Wren 09-Sep-06 #194615 | | Rating: - Thanks for the comments everyone! The figures are grievers, so I did try to paint their expressions as very somber, but maybe I went a little far with that. The eyes on the upper one were a little tricky for me, though, and I'm not 100% happy with them. The bases were plastered over to add them to the diorama, so I just did the base colour on them to blend around the edges. I'm not sure what you mean about making the flowers? They are made from natural plant products not GS or paper, but I had to glue each blossom into the 'leaf' arrangement, and then paint work in the final version. |

generulpoleaxe 08-Sep-06 #194509 | | Rating: 8 solid paint job on these, shame the bases are not the same quality as the painting, but understandable as they go on the diorama. did you make the flowers yourself ? because if you did i will feel like a right git giving you only an 8. |
Vhaidra 08-Sep-06 #194489 | | Rating: 10 As I already said: Excellent paintjob. At this picture your great painting at the sword is better to see as at the other picture. | |
