Hi there,
This is part of my Golden Demon squad I entered, unfortunately it did not get past first cut (which was my hope). I painted these guys extremely quickly for me. The helmeted terminator was painted in about 6 hours, this is probably why they did not progress in Golden Demon...
I still like them, they will be worthy additions to my army as a wolf guard bodyguard. They were intended to be the bodyguard for the great Leman Russ, and this is how I entered them in the competition. I spent a much longer period on Russ and will be posting him soon. Therefore having been told they are meant to be Russ's terminators I hope you can see that they have Horus Heresy style shoulder pads, taken from the images in the artwork books?
Any advice on how to improve my chances of progressing, other than spend more time on each one (which I wish I could have done)?

Well thios squad looks nice, clean paint job, details done very nicely, flesh tones good ( what colors did you use btw), the only thing that I could suggest to make the figs stand out a bit more are to makethe leather vertical armout a little lighter, and the bases need more to them than jsut snow. Need more on the base am afraid, I usually spend a half hour or more on my small bases adding things to them such as gravel/grass combo with other bits here and there. For these bases, maybe add some rocky outcroppings with snow, the odd icicle here or there might bring out the mini's more | |
