"Painterly" -- I like that. I'm not terribly good with 2D art, but I think I may be headed in that direction. I've been calling it sketch painting.

Holy cactus! It's 2 points worse than tabletop quality?
I'm experimenting with style a bit, so it's a conscious choice. The paints are quite dilute -- I'm using somewhere around 10 layers (thinned with water) for the skin, not couting the complementary glazes in the lowlying areas.
One problem is that I need more practice with the camera. Another is that I need more practice with the technique.
Always glad for comments, though -- positive or negative.
