Awesome miniature, the moment I saw it, I knew I had to paint one! Pain in the butt to assemble though... his beard and braids were separate pieces and the flag had to be glued to the back of his head, the joint on the mast would never ever support the weight.

Well worth the assembly hassle though, this guy was a blast to paint! I tried out a bit of weathering effects as well using a ton of washes of Kommando Khaki on the leather after it was finished. Turned out okay, didn't have time to add little nicks and scratches like I wanted to though.

He's currently residing at my best friend's house, it was a Christmas gift. Her favorite actor is Johnny Depp, and Pirates of the Carribean is one of her fave movies. The DVD of the sequel was one of her other Christmas presents

Anyway I hope you like him!

looks good but i think the skin is a little too clean for the subject and the stubble looks to be a bit thick.jod

The weathered look is captured very well on most of his clothings. The white shirt & sash are lovely. Only minor improvements I hope to see is the flesh area which lacks some contrast but it could well be just the pic. The wooden parts could use some staining/moss to add some realism to the overall look. 9+

Coool, looks complete perfect ....there is only a little point of "critic", for Jack and his "lifestyle" the figure looks to clean...especially the face and the hands. Whats your next project?? The two stupid royal marines from part one??? Harhar..they are the real heros.. Greetz Lt.Watts
