Part of my Path to Glory warband. The barding on the horse came out better than I had hoped, and the bone turned out solid too. The 'Eavy Metal Masterclass on Ahriman gave me the new method of doing those ribbed horns and it's worth the time it takes to pull off.

Rachel 07-Aug-03 #48285 | | Rating: 8 The green is luminous, very nice. The hands are perhaps a little close in colour to the bone, although the greenish tones help. I was leaning toward 7, but the base pushes you up to an 8 - awesome water (how'd you do it?) and the grass looks great, nice and multicoloured. |
Kelly Kim 17-Jan-03 #26121 | | Rating: 9 Beautiful blending, and very cool base (especially the water effect... very nice!). I tiny little bit of "extra" work would have merited a 10 tho... perhaps some sort of trim close to the edges of the barding, mottling on the horse's legs, etc. Nonetheless, gorgeous model. I expect amazing entries from you come this year's Canadian Golden Demons! |
Jericho 03-Jan-03 #24543 | | Rating: - Painting one or two models really well and painting 50 less interesting models really well are two very different things I doubt I could do an entire army to this level, simply because the minis aren't as fun and rewarding to work on. Thanks for the interest though |
samman 02-Jan-03 #24523 | | Rating: 8 Yes very nice indeed.
I'd imagine an entire army at this level quiet the site to see...
With the sucsess on this mini i'd think you'd have no troubles putting out a Salamanders army of equal quality | |
