I do like your bases, but that color scheme just kills me. For miniatures, I would insist on more contrast. Additionally, focusing on your Carni, I think his highlights need to be worked up more, and his shades improved. It looks like his skin is barely touched and his armor is only highlighted. On a side note, if I considered your advise in my rating I'd give you an 8... the bit about the cork and glue is very good. Do you drench them in glue before they're primed, then paint them? or drench them in glue AFTER they're primed painted, etc.... anyways, thank me for criticism, not for compliments. |
Sonny 08-May-07 #223435 |  | Rating: - Hey Nikki, thanks for the comment - the rocks are bits of wine bottle corks, cut up and mangled to fit the base sizes. A very effective way of making rock bases, but remember to drench the cork in glue, or it will be all mushy and soft. |
