Tried a different background that fits with the monochrome better than the original gray.
I painted this as an experiment in Monochrome painting. I used only pure black, amethyst purple, weathered blue, ghost white, and white to paint this miniature. I had fun and learned alot along the way. I may add some snow to the base in the future, but not until I find a method I like better than what I've been able to do so far.

Unjust! I might normally rate it a 9, but the hammering down to 7.8 at the time I cast this vote offends me. It needs a larger and clearer picture, it needs a LOT more contrast (maybe a failure of photography though?) and I think there's a bit of grainyness or texture that detracts just a bit. I can't say for sure if that's the photo though. |

Great job using a challenging technique. The cloak might benefit from a little more variation of shade and highlight depth, but I know from experience how annoying that cloak is to paint... |

Definitly one of my favorites. I love monochromatic colour schemes and I think you did a really good job at her, but I also think that the other background looked better, because the purple is barely to see at these pictures here. |

Very nice, it has that open scene to Underworld Evolution feel to it, and you've brought out all the detail in it with such a limited selection of paint | |
