I thought that I might spice this fig up a bit with the usual sculpted base, but also a banner.
Also, I wanted to do a banner that was a little different than the previous Space wolves banners, which were more of a traditional flag nature. This time around, I wanted to create a wolf skin/pelt effect. I didn't think that a full painted, brightly colored wolf head would work this time.
Looking through the Art of Warhammer 40k book, I found an answer. I made the whole design monocromatic, almost like a tattoo on the surface of the skin.

Rating: 9 I love the freehand here. So often people make the SWvs look happy. Here we get that feral and nomadic feel. The battle damage on the chain sword is tip top as well. Great stuff.
Rating: 9 8.7 I love your style the main thing holding it back for me would be the blending on the armor, seems a bit rough. Its nice to see some of the older sculpts getting nice paintjobs. Good work!
