Wow, I am really behind on sharing my work! This is a commission from back in December, 2006. The scheme is taken from the book illustrations rather than the studio figures.
I made the cyclops' sashimono banners from scratch because the stock ones are thick and bulky, and difficult to attach. Made the banners from aluminum tube and metal foil from a wine bottle.
I designed a bucket-like attachment for the banners in the back from photos of samurai armor.
These were the first skorne I painted for a larger force. I'm happy with them but my NMM gold but you can see I hit a breakthrough point with Morghoul (I painted him last of these four), and my NMM keeps getting better with new additions to the army.
