So I got tired of all the pretty clean Tau, so I wanted to do one a little dirtier. I also always liked Shadowsun, but hated to standard pose and wanted something a bit more...with her feet on the ground. So I combined those two ideas and got my 40k single entry for GDLA 2007, the title "Commander Shadowsun, Extended Campaign" is what's written on the base in Tau of course! I ran out of time though and would have liked to do a bit more elaborate base.
Rating: 10 You are definately making a name for yourself as one of the masters of dark and moody painting that gives the viewer an actual feeling of cold bleakness. I always know that you will give us something out of the ordinary.

Rating: 9 i definitly like this one. there is so much originality in this piece. the idea of the drones around the base gives a very dinamic impression to the scene and the colours are very subtle. a 9.3 , the base should have got a bit more work.

I like the drones coming off the sides of the display base, shame you couldn't do more with the figures actual base, whilst it looks fine anyway I think you could have come up with something more kickass. Im just glad someone has dirtied up those all too clean Tau. Good job.
