Hi all,
here is my entry which won gold in Warhammer Monster category at Golden Demon 2007 in Poland. It took me several weeks of work, but the effort paid off!
I wanted to add as many small but important details as:
- bruises and wounds
- freehand patterns on the vests (ogre's and gnobblar's)
- patterns on the sacks
- freehand patterns and heraldry on the banner he's sitting on
- fading pattern on the sword
- weathering
- mutated dog-fish swimming under the ice
- footprints on the snow
- a stream of water leaking from melting snow onto the base
- drops of water from melting icicles
The inscription says "And whoever stands here he will die, because it's curs...."
The end is intentionally washed off by the pool of water leaking from the crack on the back of the base (will be shown on another photo).
I only regret the photos don't show all the fine details and freehand patterns, but you can see them on my website www.ChestOfColors.com

I would realy like to know how you made the water under the ice. Is this resin? Or some kind of silicone.
Would be realy happy to get an anwser.

It's awesome but the only thing i would add is a bit of snow or something to the ogre and the beast thing itself. But awesome job overall! |

WOW. The base alone is worth a 10 from me...forget the rest of the min...which also happens to be good. I absolutely love the dogfish in the water. Woof.
It is no wonder you won a gong for it. Was the base set in clear resin or did you spend hours painting it all on there? |

Yep... definately the cooles Miniature on the Polish Games Day this year... I had bet on you for the Sword as well... Well...
I love the unusual colors and the idea with the two different layers, Ice Part and Ground part......
I LOVE all your small details, Freehands, Textures... it is really nice, your best miniature so far, I totally love it......
