I've always loved R.A.Salvatore novels and this is my vision of a Dark elf. I've chosen a cold palette, mostly black, purple and blue. Some tiny detail are instead picked out in bright but cold colours (turquoise and ruby red). The base represents the underdark, with real amethist cristals and a fluorescent fungus. Thanks for your comments!

Hello! I am very impressed by your work and I wished to ask- did you paint it after assembling or each part separately?

Stupendo... mini dipinta da paura in tutti i sensi l'idea poi di mettere l'ametista nella basetta conclude in bellezza l'ottima scelta cromatica della miniatura.

My odea on how to better 'fit' the cloak with the rest of the mini is as follows. You could use it if it suits you or still think of something better Try to incorporete the cloak more with the rest of the piece by improving the color of the cloak. Add some dark blue/violet shadows, like you use in your armor, but make them really delicate. Also, for highlights you could use those bone/yellow tones that are used in scales. Therefore you would made the cloak of a more complementary color to the other two main colors of the mini as well as fading a bit the freehand in the glows and shadows, and making it more eerie. A bit of glow from the fungi on some corners of the cloak woul look cool as well. That is just my idea for the piece that by itself is truly wonderful. Hope it helos. Cheers. Bohun

Wow... The icy colours do a tremendous effect... Excellent idea, and the technique is great, too! Love the metallics for the armour. Using real amethyst is brilliant, and the whole Drow business is...COOL. Out there exist many smoother free-hands, but yours is good enough, does the trick. Idea: over 10. Technique: 10 for metals, skin, etc... And 9 for free-hand.

The lighting on the scale, and especially the breast plate is excellent. And overall an interestingly different take on the figure.

I am really impressed by this work. The only thing which is in my opinion no very suitable are the crystalls. They look to big for this miniature. For me it seems that they don't fit to size miniature size. When I look at them the great atmosphere which has been built by this Mini gets damage.

Ottima interpretazione, base da urlo, ma mi associo agli altri riguardo al mantello - non molto in stile con il resto, nonostante l'esecuzione molto bella...
