About the value of information, the internet and CMON…..
The idea for this little bugger rose up (unbidden) as soon as I saw the
Lightning claws on GW´s Chaos General plastic set.
Having an affection for all things angelic, I decided to do an
Angel oozing decay, trying to combine all traits a Nurgle Lord
could offer: skeletal face, bloated belly, pus, slime, flies, the lot.
All very archetypical, a Nurgle archangel would be flying on
corrupt wings and what better than the wings of an immense
fly, I thought.
(All the more so as I recently developed hard feelings toward
sculpting feathered wings…)
Although o.k. in my eyes, the wings fail to win any glory
the way I did them (plasticard and paint).
This is where the worth of information would have its place:

Certainly stumbled upon Tuffskull´s MASSIVELY COOL THE UNHOLY (German GD Bronze!!! ignore this at your own risk, you´re missing out a treat…)
I wouldn´t have him had to tell me personally (with more than a bit
of sympathy)! So big thanx go out to Tuffskull for his cool ideas (visit his gallery!!)
I really plan to redo those wings consequently, but first I have to go
to find suitable bio-materials to make them rise up from the dead…
(oh, how very much nurgle this is!!!)
As a result, I plan to surf CMON a lot more than I did recently,
As there are sooo many cool things out there for inspiration, adaptation, or
simply ripping off…

I looked through you’re your mini’s and you are really inventive, some of them are brilliant, this isn’t one of your best, but generally your standard is excellent.
As a side note in your ‘about me’ section you might want to rephrase ‘bugger her into being an audience’ as this has unsavoury connotations in English

I really like the iconic portal or halo that the flies support. The pose is great, the painting neat, not so much to complain about the whole concept but the insect wings maybe could be improved, I don't know. But it's worth to check it out. I wonder if the figures base could somehow be incorporated on the standing display podium? In that I mean the detail (design) of the display base and it's only a suggestion. It's always a delight to see your handicraft! =) | |
