I painted this figure for Miniaturenland, the European distributor for Dark Sword Miniatures. I had to paint fairly quickly, but it's a lovely piece so I wanted to take the effort to continue to build on what I learned at Gen Con this summer. The shading mixes for all the areas of the mini, including the hair and ground, incorporate the purple tones seen on the wings. The wings are a large part of the miniature, and very nicely sculpted, so I tried to keep them interesting. I was inspired by the wings on Jeremie's cherub.

Bren 08-Nov-07 #240810 | | Rating: 9 I saw this mini last saturday on Crisis (Antwerpen), and the wings impressed me most. I feel the dress could use some more higlighting and/or shading, but I guess you didn't have enough time for that |
