This is the new Grandinquisitor from GWs new Demonhunter range. When i saw the miniature i had to buy it It lookes quite cool with the eagle on his arm, but i thought the miniature could benefit from some conversion work. So i decided to give him another left arm and another weapon. The left arm was completely sculpted and the firebowl from Melkion Flamboyant was added. The cains and the =I= symbol above his head were also sculpted. At least i swaped the weapon with the one of Kyrinov.

At least the firebowl gave me the oportunity to do some experiments with victorias great technique for external light sources. I think it works quite nice on the miniature.

Hope you´ll like it

Looks great ! Awesome conversion, great painting work. The only thing that keeps this from being a 10 is that under the fire, it shouldn't be as highlited as you made it, the lightsource wouldn't be seen from here.... But it's a truly great work, and now I have to convert one myself !

i think if you have this level of skill in painting you should have looked at the "light source" a little longer. everything under the brasier would only get reflected ambient light. so the knee and below wouldn't be yellow. the chain on the book crosses the halfway mark. would have been a nice transition. the knuckles dont show any light even though the fire apperars to be right next to them. on the breastplat you have individual flames reflected. nice idea but it wouldn't happen unlees the mirror surface was flat. and over all brightness Vs proximity is not apparent. the weapon is just as bright as the vambrace. whew! these are just the little thing that you are capapble of painting that would have made this a exquisite 10! very nice.

I agree with everyone else. The fire takes off points. I would have given a 10 if the black had been made to look more like smoke. There is way too much fire from such a little tiny censor. It also looks too dark. I did not know it was suppose to be fire at first. I thought it was a ram's head or such :-/

The problem with the fire is it's brighter on the inside, and then it goes to black, but then the black is highlighted! Since it gets darker and darker as you get farther and farther from the flame, the black should be just plain black on the tips.

The only thing that kept you from a ten was the fire and smoke. The miniature is beautiful. The smoke and fire just kind of focus my eye away from the detail of the face and armor. Again, incredible work on the figure itself.
