This is one of the rare cases on CMON when I see a figurine overrated. This is an excellent sculpt down to the waistline, less so below it. Look at the feet, they are far too large, and there is just a flat slab of putty where there should be a sole and a heel. Also, the stance seems a bit awkward to me, his right food should be centred more under his body to take the weight, and his right leg should be straight to turn the stance into a classic contreposte. The rapier also could use some more effort, esp. the hilt and the scabbard. This flaws an otherwise fine figure, so it's a 7,5 for me, which makes it into an 8. I recommend putting a bit of additional effort into him before moulding and casting, it would be a pity regarding the excellent head and cuirasse. |
