Hey everybody! Glad to finally get this guy done, he's been the testbed for a few new techniques and ideas. I'm pretty happy with the metallics and the color scheme worked out well. I wasn't sure if the sheer amount of metallics would overload the color scheme, but they seem to be balanced out well. My army commanders will stand out a bit, but won't break the look of the army too much I don't imagine (for those who don't follow my crazy schemes, there is supposed to be the entire 5th Company plus a whole bunch of extras by the time I'm done... which suffice it to say won't be any time soon!).
I named him Agrippa, after the Roman fleet commander. His shin guard says "Classis" on it, which is Latin for "fleet" ... trust me it's there even if it's a bit hard to see in the pic I'll get the hang of this calligraphy garbage sooner or later!

Micha 31-Jan-08 #249089 | | Rating: 8 Very nice, I really like the colorcheme, the red, green and copper fir together well, the work on the face is also quite life-like. While i like the green cloak I think the cloth on the front should have been done in the same color, there are a bit too many kinds of green on him i think. It´s also a shame you did not paint the blood drop on the shoulder ornament. |
