It had been a while since I'd done a Rackham figure, and I'd always liked the simplicity of this piece, gave me an opportunity to work on my contrast a bit as well as blending different colours.
For those interested I did a short step-by-step article on the base which can be found either on "OZ Painters" or "The Basement".

PrawnPower 10-Feb-08 #249928 | | Rating: - Glad you liked it, and thanks for the comments on the base aurelio. I should probably mention I re-worked the freehand, you can find it re-posted here http://www.coolminiornot.com/181594 |
aurelio 10-Feb-08 #249922 | | Rating: 10 imo, mini is underrated. i 've seen your article about base on oz painters forum and have to tell you that it looks so realistic. at first time i thought it is a real part of marble floor tile. also, miniature is painted superbly, cloak, nmm, and freehand. thank you for sharing this. regards. |
