There are plenty of monstrous treemen out there but there are also plenty of female dryads. Why not combine the two? This was the inspiration and this is what we came up with.
Me and Jeremy sculpted this one with mainly Fimo and a little green stuff. We painted her up in fall colors and added the fallen leaves to the ground. We also added little twigs we found while walking the dog.
We are in the middle of painting up a new Treewoman in springtime colors with model railroad trees instead of twigs. The effect is amazing, but I sometimes prefer the darker more dead look of the fall tree.
This Treewoman is quite large but fits very well on her 50mm square base. She has loads of 28mm skulls on her base. She is intended to be used for tabletop wargaming but looks nice on my shelf too.
There are more pics and information on our website if you like.
Rating: 8 the upper part of her body is a bit too long and the left side of her face is less thick than the other - looks weird. but it's for sure nicely painted, a good idea and mostly well-sculped
Rating: 9 It looks great!
I love teh colour and the composition of the model. Beautiful work!
I'd like to see her with real-looking eyes instead of the blank ones she has... Did you try it with any other versions already?
Also it would be great to see this model with lots of animal life on her: Snails, birds, even a jaguar or something. Some little details that would add to the story and the atmosphere of the model.
Great stuff, I look forward to seeing the new version!
