Hi folks... This is the labour of love I've been working on the last three months or so. It's a Forgeworld Macharius Vanquisher heavy tank in a Tallarn desert cammo pattern. This model has been heavily re-worked with 76 custom made brass-etch details added including dust filters, tread plates, bearing covers, catch nets, RF shielding etc. It has turned brass barrels on the heavy stubbers and brass etch covers on the heavy flamers in the sponsons. It's hard to get all the details packed into a set of photos this small, but there are no transfers or decals on this model, all of the detail and freehands are hand painted. This represents about 175 hours total work for the modelling and painting, starting back in December 2007. Hope you like it! ....Ben

Just as a temporary update before the tank gets re-photographed... the Vanquisher won gold in the UK demons this year! Makes all those hours of work worthwhile!

Very realastic tank - really adore the athmosphere around the tank commander with this glorius tank - really would know what he is thinking in the last picture down in the right corner (liek: nah, you don't wanna mess with me and my baby^^) - just ignore me - i always dream that miniatures become alive at night  - Great Work! Very nicely done..I can imagine the pics been a real ass ache.... maybe some extra close up shots in the forums.... could maybe benefit fom a bit of variation in tone in the odd place nothing much just a bit.
The eagle idea is nice but just slightly off google image some eagle pics and you'll see what I mean the legs currently look the wrongway round..
other than that cracking job on such a big bloody lump.. |
