Bellephron is the model I am most proud of! I play Crimson Fists in 40K and this was a natural progression from the 28mm into the 54mm. The style of painting is totally different when you compare the two scales. I really concentrated on a light source for this model rather than the traditional Games Workshop style of highlighting all the raised areas.
He represents a Marine who has served in the Deathwatch (Alien hunting chapter), but has since returned to his own chapter (in this case the Crimson Fists). He has retained his Deathwatch shoulder pad as a badge of office.
Comments are more than welcome, and would be greatly appreciated!

.....good coloring. do i detect interchangeable heads? and good use of the dreadnought scenic base, although it does seem a bit flat |
Geezer 04-Mar-03 #30665 | | Rating: 9 This is a fantastic piece, the only thing that lets it down is the base, but hey i cant talk. Feel free to check out some of my stuff as votes and comments seem to be few and far between these days. Nice job. |
bigrin42 04-Mar-03 #30664 | | Rating: 9 Great job! I really like this model and the paint job is superb. Usually, mixing primary colors has a tendency to look too "cartoonish", but you did a great job. If there is any negative comment, it would have to be that the base just seems to "flat" to fit the rest of the model. It may just be the lighting angle though. |
