There are parts of this I really like and some parts I don't like as much. You mix some beautiful subtle work with some parts that are less subtle, like the highlights on the dress and rocks. If there where such reflections from the dress I think you need to take greater care thinking how a light source reacts on the dress, not just paint folds. For me the highlights now seem intuitively wrong. But the skin is beautiful and the see-through effect is really well done! But that kind of excellent technique doesn't combine well with the very simple edging method you've used for the rocks. I'm a bit torned what to give this one... but 8.5 going for a 9. In the end it is a very nice piece. Sven |
