After the 90 mil piece I did last year I wanted to try and get a good textured leather effect on a smaller scale piece. I know that 40k commissars are generally meant to be in black, but the general brown tone to the jacket allowed me to play with the colours a bit more. Other than that I've been continuing to work on my contrast.
And I'd just like to give thanks to the people on OZ Painters, The Basement and the Spanish Team forums for the all the feedback I've had.
