My take on Sophie. Let me know what you think, her base is not finished yet, so I will post it when it is done.

jarhead 31-May-08 #260431 | | Rating: 6 There are really some well done parts here - the eyes are awesome and there is really a good eye for colours here... one thing, maybe you give it a try: The photo is perfect for that - take a moment and look at that picture and that skin ... moment ... there are shadwos viewable from an upper light source (under her breasts, under the arms, on the legs, etc.)... if you paint these too there will be fast much more live in her skin... simply try to use a fleshy (more redly skin tone) with a 2/1 mix of water/colour. Before you go on the mini with the brush tip it off from most of the water by using some paper... then try to bring this glace carefully in the shadows... your brush will be used like a besom and move the pigments like the dirt in the shadows... this technique is called glazing and with some practice you will fast achieve more difference and life in your works... so much bla bla^^... most important - always have fun while painting and don't forget your kids, your wife and the marine korps...
