About the presence of the girl, its personal, and symbolic too. |
Avelorn 16-Oct-08 #272859 | | Rating: 8 Cool piece. The painting is perhaps not super everywhere but the ambiant overall makes up for it. While not a big fan of the concept the freehand is well performed. @MFAAC: They are still painted... maybe not his concept in the beginning but that's besides the point really imo. |
MFAAC 16-Oct-08 #272840 | | Rating: 8 I cant read the artists description since its in french, so i make the following claim with it in mind that he may have admitted this, but...
The faces on the floor are NOT painted. This image is plagarized from a famous heavy metal album cover Morbid Angels - alters of madness"
You can see the cover of the album here

Kuragh 15-Oct-08 #272768 | | Rating: 10 I love the Valten model his BRING IT ON pose is ideal. Very well done, love the faces, especially like the idea of the girls face reprsenting his soul in amongst the warp. Very well executed an suitabley epic, love it! |
l33tpenguin 11-May-08 #258294 | | Rating: 10 If you take the time to throw the description into an english-french translator you'll learn that the faces painted in the lava is significant to the diorama. The skulls are to represent the chaos of the big nasty thing while the woman's face is the power and purity of the paladin overcoming the chaos, or something to that extent. |
botto 28-Apr-08 #257080 | | Rating: 9 real nice paintjob! but what the hell's up with the faces-in-the-floor-thing? especially the girl's face seems extremely malplaced. smells of "look I can paint faces too, so I'll put one in this battle scene just for the sake of it" to me. but, as i said: real nice piece |
