This is my first ever attempt at a mini photo. I am also back to painting after a ten year break, so any comments on the painting or photography is much appreciated.
I did an auto-white-balance in GIMP, that's all. Perhaps there are some other options in there I could explore? I think I need another lamp or two, I used just the one FL overhead and found I had to use the camera flash to light the model properly. From what I understand, I shouldn't need to use the camera flash if the fig is lit properly?
On the painting, I think the shading is too dark in places on this mini, and looking at this photo, I think the highlighting could have gone a bit brighter to good effect?
