For my 40K Single entry in the 2008 Chicago Golden Demon competition, I revisited an old figure that I "finished" well over two years ago but always wanted to go back and add to, in addition to touching up a few areas like highlights and shading, the leathers and the metallics. I reworked the figure over the space of a few nights and finished just in time before leaving to go to Chicago. He made First Cut, and I believe was also an Honorable Mention, although I was unable to talk with staff or judges about the figure due to time constraints (and the fact I had won an award for my other entry this year!)

johnboyjjb 21-Aug-08 #267850 | | Rating: 8 I'd call that an 8. I will say the LF leg bothers me as well as some of the head. |
squig hunter 18-Aug-08 #267530 | | Rating: 7 VERY smooth indeed, and a nice use of colour. But needs more shading, because it looks a bit "flat" at the moment. Also the basing isn't really interesting at all, and lets it down a bit. Good stuff otherwise though. |

Donga 07-Aug-08 #266807 | | Rating: 8 Superb use of colour, some of the highlighting/shading is so-so (still not bad at all). But a nice 'fleshy' effect. | |
