I made and paint this eldar dreadnought few years ago, but years after years and minis after minis, this conversion is become one of my favorite piece of work

JonQuixote 25-Jan-06 #165306 | | Rating: 9 I love the paintwork, and although the pose has had some flak, I like it. The anthropomorphism of a soldier kneeling, not to get cover, but to enable stablity over a particularly long shot is spot on, with the elbow resting on the knee. Good work. |
paintjunkie 27-Oct-04 #107927 | | Rating: 9 Beautiful paint job. Over all it is a bit to busy for my personal taste but it is done extremely well and definitely suites the eldar.
regarding this pose/height nonsense.
Line of sight / cover is determine using the models UNMODIFIED HEIGHT so even if this model was lying on its stomach, it wouldn't gain any advantage from 'screening'.

But still amazing. |
maximvsv 23-Sep-03 #54729 | | Rating: 10 I love this paint job. The mix of color and texture, what with the star patterns and highlighting and all, could have made this figure look like a combination of pieces, but it integrates into a coherent whole, with narrative. |
gremlare 13-Jul-03 #44913 | | Rating: 9 All the hard work gives you a nine. The colors are great. The lightning looks lok a surrounding armor force field, great! |
Necrarch vamp. 13-May-03 #38336 | | Rating: 9 I don't like the colourscheme, however, its a realy good paintjob! |
psiekier 28-Mar-03 #33546 | | Rating: 9 That's a dead sexy paint job.
However, I must call into question your motive for posing the Wraithlord in such a manner. It looks to me like a deliberate attempt to allow the Wraithlord to "hide" behind intervening screens of smaller troops by taking advantage of the "up to twice the height" rule.
Shame on you! | |
