Hi folks
This was my Fantasy single entry for GD UK this year, a (slightly) converted empire battle wizard with a 'rose' theme.
He made first cut and has appeared in most of the photo sets for the category but didn't place.
As the sculpt on this model was kinda exagerated and almost cartoon-like I decided the colour scheme should match. This is far brighter and more colourful than any mini I've painted before and I'm pretty happy with the results.
The roses on the base are sculpted from greenstuff (tutorial in the works if anyone's still interested) and the rock is SuperSculpey Firm.
As always, comments and thoughts welcome.
Ben

rocketandroll 08-Oct-08 #272144 | | Rating: - Cheers guys, and Shawn, Rob's right, they are paper leaves from 'Plusmodel', used them on a few minis before and they're pretty cool... I did re-paint these and add veins to them because I'm a geek though |
demonherald 07-Oct-08 #272110 | | Rating: 9 The colours aren't to my own taste but they are spankingly done and this is a miles better pic chief....
@Shawn I believe the leaves are the Plus model paper ones...???? |
