Here is a conversion of Champion of Slaanesh. The idea was to make mighty Lord. The lava bases was specially made for this model. It's a bit differend than typical 'cork like', offered by mass manufacturers. Check also the light and effect of rust on the armour and weapon. It's a commision work. A few of points from me. The colours of the Lord don't really fit with the Fluff of Slaanesh. There's nothing to suggest extreme sensate hedonism, in the colours. The armour on the Carnosaur is too close to the body colour and is therefore "lost" against the Skin. Finally the postion of the lord is "Off Balance" in compirason to the movement of the Carnosaur. He's leaning back, when a rider should be canted forward to compensate for the beasts movement. |

Great job, I have a conversion like this one in my gallery, I took my inspiration from Matt Parkes who's idea it was, I believe he won a demon trophy for it. Anyway its really nicely painted but it doesn't really remind me of slannesh. I like the lava base but it looks like you got a bit lazy when sticking the model to it. Love the freehand on the cloth, keep up the great work! | |
