This mini was like a challenge to me. Since my first Gunamar I've always wanted to do other version of the same dwarf hero,but for one reason or another I've allways dropped the project.
So this year one day before the Golden Demon I decided to challenge myself: converting and painting one miniature in one day. And the mini is my favourite hero.
I'm a slow painter usually and this is the result of my effords. Obviously I did not win anything with this mini (but I get two golden demon with the other two entries!) but I'm proud to say that I get an honourable mention (well,the GD pin badge!).

The Skin tone really works well with that beard... Great...

Rating: 9 I love this mini. The technique isn't mindblowing because like you said it was done in one day, but the pose, the design, the character of the mini are all excellent.
