Hi all,
here's my last work; is a piece of the new series of tales of war "Ron & Bone" by Deucalion Studio.
The mini is delicious in my opinion, full of humor and charm.
I received this from Deucalion as a preview before it exit on the market with a request to paint a waste of time if I wanted.
Was an honor for me to paint this mini for him and I thank him very much for this possibility! 
talking about painting, I can not paint without plunge into something totally new for me.
in this case in view of the comic strip character of the piece I whant an absolutely graphical "impressionist" piece.
I had two objectives in mind: the study of pure zenith, and the textured shade; where it was more an illusion given by the superimposition of graphics rather than simple step gradient.
obviously this was not good for the skin that I have worked with in my style of recent times that is 80% acrylic and 20% oil finishing touches to give the final shade.
as for the whole piece, on the skin, I tried to greatly enhance the contrasts. I wanted the piece "jump out".
for the expression I just suggest a vaguely mischievous and drunk smile that i could see well with a subject like this.
to end the tight deadlines to finish in time to send the mini in Lyon I was forced to speed in the last few details. the sword is one of them (except that in the photo do not see at all ...). having had more time we wanted to touch on some more, but at the end to this mini can also stay there.
I hope you like it and I apologize for the horrid photos as always my pieces are far from photogenic!
