The Light from the jar in his hand is so subtle... transitions seem to have different properties then Acrylics... It could be the thing I was looking for in order to explore and improve Textures...

Thanks guys, glad you like the model.
SK4TE- when painting oils in 28mm I find it best to thin them down alot (which is very different from the way its done on larger models apparently). I think the thinners take a lot of the shine off anyway, but the model has also been varnished with Testors Dullcote.
Demonherald- I'm doing a quick tutorial on oil paint for 28mm. I'll pm you when its done if you like. I'd love to see what someone with your talent could do with them.
Also, anyone else interested in the tutorial can either leave a comment or just pm me and I'll get back to you.

fantastic.. any advice ou can give on oils at this scale would be massively appreciated.. This is one of hose models I have had sat on my desk for ages and just haven't got round to tackling it.. inspirational stuff |
