This was the first stock mini I've painted in a long time, I just liked the way it looked in the blister and couldn't resist. I added some detail shots of the eagle on the back and the gauge on the inside of the gun, that was a pain in the ass to paint!
This was my entry in the 40k single category in Baltimore '09 and was very lucky to get a bronze.
Sorry for the full size shot, I had to include a picture of the base. I got a lathe for christmas and this is one of the first bases I turned myself. I wanted something with sharper edges for a harder sci-fi feel without painting it black.
Rating: 10 I'm always impressed with the quality of your work. I've checked out some of your minis in person at Dark Tower in Denville. Always glad to see someone from "Joisey" Did the wood base come from somewhere local? You can send private message if you'd like.
Rating: 8 Almost perfect work! The only thing I have to say is that the teeth should be painted one by one and not represented by a simple white line. Congratulation for your bronze!
