This is the Ogre from Heresy Miniatures - another model full of the trademark Heresy character.... And is quite menacing without lookin' stoopid like sum ogrez does. I have tried to show the ogres lack of taste by giving him quite gaudy clothes. Combined with his green mohawk and fur trimmings, I think it is quite apparent that he needs some style lessons - not that anyone would be brave enough to let him know!! Something that didnt really turn out too well in the photo are his eyes - they actually have a red iris with a black pupil, but it did not photograph too well! The little metal on the model has been painted in NMM (belt buckle, nipple ring, head studs), and his skin has been painted in my usual GW Scorched Brown --> Dwarf Flesh --> Elf Flesh blend.
Oh, you must also trust me when I say that the browns are better highlighted in real life!
I look forward to your comments!

vincegamer 30-Apr-03 #37189 | | Rating: 8 In my opinion you have failed.
He doesn't look that tacky to me. He's wearing red, white and blue. No clashing colors, no gaudy decorations.
The skin looks great, love the face, and I think you did a really good job on the floor. I love seeing indoor-style bases. |
chris2269 30-Apr-03 #37186 | | Rating: 8 Great job, I like the yellowed toe and finger nails, adds character. In the pic it looks like his beard is the same color as the fir trim but that may not be a beard might just be the angle of the pic. again great job. |
Otter 30-Apr-03 #37183 | | Rating: 9 Love him! The pirate knickers are great, eye-catching without detracting from the figure. I don't know about the green toupee, tho', but that could be my monitor acting up. | |
