Hi folks, this is my entry for a local Lizardman painting competition at GW (prize is advance copy of Lizardmen army book). I went for a sort of Fire Lizard look. If you post a comment, let me know what you think of this color combo (the yellowy-orange/red combo...ignoring the green shield). - Jarrett

Hah, this is cool. I'm an old school lizard player. When I heard a new book was being released I started working on a new army. I painted a Skink Chief and it turned out almost exactly like your model. I liked it a lot and decided to do a fire/sun themed army. I was starting to get worried the army wouldn't go over well but seeing the ratings this piece has gotten has reassured me. Excellent work! |

I really love the dark blue/light blue combo that GW chose for the new Lizardmen, but I really HAVE to admit that this fire-lizard stuff rocks 
The black lines between the scales make the skin look like lava, I definitely like it |

i surely like the colours combo and the whole mini is really well painted! i'd prefer a little more highlights on the spear staff and blade, but i think u did not pay much attention on it by proposal ! overall, good job! |

to be honest, that´s the first well-painted lizard I´ve seen so far, and I really like it - the scales on the shield are beutiful, and the scin looks very realistic - the only think that seems odd is that the scin between the yellow scales is not red or reddish brown but almost black; I think the red and the orange really look good together and the bright look fits a tropical, exotic creature | |
