Well, even though this figures paint-job was damaged all over and the base is broken off due to GW's lack of shipping ettiquete after the nationals I have posted it anyway from a suggestion in the forum. The pic is kinda small but actualy is bigger then the actual size of the mini. Id make the pic bigger but my cam does NOT take to larger resolutions well, leaving me with very distorted blurbs of light. I will hopefully get a better cam soon (never again to buy an Intel) as I have purchased the entire line of Vallejo game color and am going to start painting and selling on ebay again to gather funds for a new cam (yay!!!)
Anyway, more about the figure , yus! I painted it in an original scheme like my other Rider of Rohan LOTR figure. I think the Rohans look alot like vikings, so I paint them that way. I really like the way the figure turned out bright, yet cohesive and subdued. Something I will look to try in more figures as soon as I get my vallejo's. Done in NMM as usual...This fig took around 30 hours to paint and although I didnt like the cast much I think it turned out satisfactory in the end.

Cerridwyn1st 02-Oct-03 #55878 | | Rating: 9 What kind of camera do you have? If it's a Kodak, you can get lenses that help a lot. I just bought some and I'm very happy. BTW - wazzat in the background? This your cube at work?
Hey, do something good on NMM. I NEED HELP! Great fig. |

Zilo 14-May-03 #38517 | | Rating: - Oh, and something I guess I should note as well. This figure was done solely with Delta Ceramcoat acrylics (an arts & crafts paint). For all you who mock these paints, I say, all it takes is patience. The paint is a bit thin pigment-wise but I felt it was very nice as it makes blending rather seemless as there is less pigment to try blend into the past/next layer. So ya, .60 cents a bottle is not a bad deal at all for getting 5 times the amount of paint. The color selection is grand and for the price these bigger containers work great doublely as a terrain paint! |
AAvHDarkblade 14-May-03 #38480 | | Rating: 8 Very nice work on Gamling. Too bad the picture is small, I suspect I would give it a higher score if I could see it better. Re-post when you get that new camera. I really like the banner and the colouring on the horse, which is quite unusual. | |
