This was my main entry for GDUK 2009, I had the idea for a couple of years and it was nice to finally be able to complete it. The upper surface of the chaos battleship (Terminus Est) needed quite a lot of re-working but I kept the theme of a long series of side turrets.
I would have liked the piece to be at more of an angle, but despite casting the base of lead to act as a counterweight it was still quite top heavy and the base size restrictions of the duel category forced the more upright design.
I will post a thread with work in progress pictures, but I would just like to thank Nigel, Rob (Cardis and Herring), Sebastian, Anders, Adrian (Bay and Hopwood) and various others who provided hints and tips while I was working on it.

Conrad I was fortunate indeed to see this First Hand as it was being put in the cabinet on Sunday. That is a superb piece of work. Unfortunatley the Pictures on a PC screen don't allow people to see how really good this is. |

Great work mate...really original idea for a GD duel! And a crazy amoutn of work, I know - you were hard at it for ages! I love the look of the nurgle ship, very cool. Bad luck on not winning a trophy - I guess it was always a long shot, with such a 'different' sort of idea. But well done and congratulations anyway on a great scene! D | |
