he's very nicely done but the base lets him down imo. i assume its a cave type base? i would maybe smooth it out a bit more, atm he looks like he's on the beach!! also i wouldn't bother texturing the plinth he's on, it's only worth extending the base like that if it really adds to the scene, which i feel it doesn't. hope this doesn't seem overly harsh as the painting is really nice and atmospheric |
