Valten Champion of Sigmar, Hero of the Empire

The bravest hero of the Empire! Well my version anyways :p I experimented with some canvas painting techniques to make some reflections of mountains on the front of his hammer and a ruined fortress on the back. His comet marking was filed off and muscle tone painted in (can we assume it's covered up?). That silly beastman is off his foot as well and now he's on a sculpted cobblestone base with ingrown grass. The sides of the plastic base have been painted to appear as dark hardwood. Comments always welcome.

Ignore nay sayers, the hammers look good, but would look better if they were glossed :> good work, I like the base especially.

If it wasn't for his weapons that would be a really lovely paint job. Nice subtle colour scheme, great looking face, good work removing the silly looking beastman. Those hammers' mountain reflections just look completely fake to me though and I think it really spoils the miniature.

I paint the same mini. Like you, i have filed of the comet which is a little "kitch". I like the natural grey tones, and of course your beautifull paint job on hammers. vraiment pas mal du tout !
