This was my entry for the Open Category at LA Gamesday Golden Demon competition, 2003. It made it to about 6th place before being eliminated, which really surprised me considering some of the stuff I was up against in that category!

Only thing I think would improve the mini for my taste would be less blood... Maybe falling about 1/3 of the way to the ground. But still a 10 on the paint work, base and welll everything.  |

I like everything BUT the blood . . the paintjob is great but the blood looks a bit OTT IMHO. Also that amount of blood would never fit in the cup. Sorry to be so negative :S I do love the paintjob though ! |

Oh, that's a really good mini. I love the idea of the blood, but I say the same as Micha, I don't like such high bases. However, I like it in this mini and... YOU ARE ONE OF THE ONLIES THAT HASN'T TO THE NMM!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! |

I think that Khorne would be really satisfied with this miniature, eheheheh. The idea of blood is fantastic, I use often vinilic glue for my bloody bases, but they are not so gloomy as yours. Great work anyway, Blood for the Blood God! |

Here's how I did the blood: I affixed a straightened paperclip to the base and to the cup (drilled into the cup a bit and bent the paperclip). Then I used putty to flesh out the paperclip a bit, esp at the pouring area of the cup. Then I painted this dark red. After that I mixed up some 2-part epoxy with red paint/ink to give it some color, and "poured" it onto the paperclip/putty with a toothpick. The reason it ended up kinda uneven thickness is it dries very slowly and I had a hard time turning the figure over and over to keep it evenly spread up and down the paperclip. Hope that makes sense |

very nice work, I like the idea with the blood , and it looks quite realistic; however, I´m not a fan of those very high bases, I think it distracts from the mini, which is well-painted itself! 'Kill all o´them, their blood is our seal!' - Manowar |

I saw it in person. It was phenomenal.
I thought a lot of the judging was a travesty, particularly the vehicle category. A lot of wonderful entries didn't even get a second look. Oh and lighting was horrid.
