This is an excellent peice. I like the axe, it is not uncommon for an axe head to be painted black withonly the ground edge being silver.
Composition wise the head is facing the wrong direction, he should be looking to the left. Now, there is no story. He doesn't make you think "what's he looking at?" |

first of all: great piece jen!
second: figurephenatix, saying you can't critisize what you can't do is like saying you can't dislike music just because you can't play an instrument.
one can always critisize, but it should be constructive critisizm not just telling someone how ugly you think their paintjob is. that's just going to hurt people. |

I cant critisize what I cant do (like some people I see), the figure is wonderful. I love the shoulder pad effects and overall, this figure is inspiring, keep up the great work! |

It's a solid eight except for a few minor issues. The reflections on the shoulder pads are so distinct it looks like the plate had been bent. It's too sharp of a reflection and it quite simply looks off. The ax is nice and dark but looks like you forgot to finish painting it . The edge on the blade should be done in a manner consistent with the rest of the armor. It looks like two styles of NMM altogether - a method based on light and then the "I put some lines on it, aren't I spiffy" method. I like the medusa but it would have been nice to see the flesh with a different color than the snakes. grey/green at least. |
